Chrissy Teigen has plenty to regret about her time on Twitter, but her tweets about Donald Trump remain a plus-positive. Her infamous Trump jabs rattled the guy so much that at one point he asked Twitter to take down a post where Teigen called him a “pussy ass bitch.” But Teigen revealed during a live recording of Kara Swisher’s podcast that making fun of Trump on Twitter is not all it’s cracked up to be. Though she admitted that learning he tried to get her tweet taken down was “a career highlight,” she also worried that posting about him could have consequences.
“It’s also kind of scary, because it’s, Oh, he’s aware of me,” Teigen said of another potential Trump presidency. “What could really happen because of that? We obviously know he’s unhinged, but could he actually come after you in other ways? It’s a weird feeling.” Her husband, John Legend, who was also being interviewed, added that the couple planned to chip in to make sure Trump doesn’t “come within a mile of the White House again.”
Also not making a comeback anytime soon, if this couple has anything to say about it: Teigen’s tweets. She told Swisher she will “never go back on X,” adding that her therapist told her “online time was almost a euphoric time for me … it was the Wild West, and my therapist says I’m still chasing that high.” If Trump does make it to the Oval Office, she will just have to post her funniest insults on Threads.
