Is This the Most Chaotic Thing to Happen on a Plane Recently?

It really seems like anything can happen on a commercial flight nowadays. Someone might start ranting in the aisles, an entire chunk of the plane could fall off, or you could see Kanye West. Who knows what the next flight will bring!

In a video posted last week, a man named Brandon Doggett shared a clip of West and his wife, Bianca Censori, sitting in the front row of a commercial flight. The couple’s outfits appear to match paparazzi photos of them landing in Japan’s Narita International Airport, although we don’t know where they were flying in from. He’s wearing a fluffy white robe with “Ye” embroidered onto it, while she’s in what looks like a poncho you might wear on a log flume.

Lots of questions here, obviously. Did anyone else notice these two or did they just think that two eccentric dressers were sitting in the bulkhead row? Lots of comments and headlines claimed that the couple were flying in economy class, despite their being in the front of the plane. A woman in the comments of the TikTok claimed to be a flight attendant for the same airline (her sole TikTok video is of her on a similar-looking plane) and clarified that they were actually sitting in business class. Thank God!

But anyone shocked that West is flying commercial has forgotten their history. Yes, he’s a very wealthy man who I’m sure still flies private all the time. But back when his Twitter account was actually fun, one of West’s greatest tweets was about flying commercial. “I hate when I’m on a flight and I wake up next to a water bottle next to me like oh great now I gotta be responsible for this water bottle,” West posted back in 2011. Hopefully Censori is running interference on all possible water-bottle-related issues now.
