Creator for Palestine — a group of Twitch streamers, YouTubers, and TikTokers — raised over $1.5 million dollars this weekend for relief efforts in Gaza. The event was started by YouTuber Nikki Carreon, per the Washington Post. “we were able to do this after I started a groupchat in the fuckin shower with 3 people in it in hopes to earn 2,000 dollars for Palestinian relief,” Carreon tweeted. She also shouted out folks like Frogan, Hassan Khadair, Sarah Schauer and others for organizing the event/getting the stream going. The Try Guys offered their studio for the livestream’s physical locale. The group of 100+ content creators did a livestream on Hasan Piker’s Twitch stream and the Try Guys YouTube channel. Proceeds are going to orgs like Medical Aid for Palestinians, HEAL Palestine and UNRWA. Other content creators who participated in Creators for Palestine include Capri Sunn Papi, Rainforest Cafe aficionados Eddy Burback and Ted Nivison, Swell Entertainment, Stanzi Potenza, members of Smosh, Kurtis Conner, Zay Dante, and Tyler Oakley.
Actual draw dropping moment that we were able to do this after I started a groupchat in the fuckin shower with 3 people in it in hopes to earn 2,000 dollars for Palestinian relief and I was like “let’s just share graphics I have no idea how to do a livestream” LOL so much love https://t.co/2CXUeGE4Fi
