The Bridgerton fandom spans the globe and counts celebrities, athletes, reality-TV stars, and, now, real-life royalty among the show’s loyal viewers. On Monday, Queen Camilla said that she is already caught up on the first half of the new season, which dropped on Thursday.
“I watched the first lot,” Camilla said, according to a video shared to X by royal reporter Rebecca English. Camilla was on a tour of a Bridgerton-inspired garden featured in the Chelsea Flower Show in London. The tour was led by Holly Johnston, a garden designer whose creation for the Flower Show was designed to reflect Nicola Coughlan’s Bridgerton character, Penelope Featherington, and her personal journey.

Half the garden has a shaded area that “alludes to themes of mystery, turmoil, and defiance” — popular Bridgerton themes, particularly this season. The garden also has “layers of ground cover, ferns, and ivy” that “represent a woven network of secrets.” The other half of the garden, which has brighter colors that create a “full-bloom effect,” represents “Penelope’s embracing of her true self and coming into the light.”
Camilla attended the Flower Show with King Charles but visited the Bridgerton garden solo. Maybe the show’s steamy sex scenes are just too much for Charles.
