We’re betting that Jennifer Lawrence would have found it difficult to have no hard feelings if she didn’t get this role. Per Variety, JLaw will star in The Wives, a murder mystery inspired by the Real Housewives franchise. It is currently in development as an A24 and Apple Original Films co-production. As a reminder, Lawrence is a Bravo fan who once said she would give her Oscar away to the women of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City for what she called the “best reality TV finale, I think, ever.” She’s used interviews as opportunities to describe Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Erika Jayne as “evil” and declare that ex–Real Housewives of New York star Bethenny Frankel “is not a chef.” She even has a soft spot for the now-canceled Real Housewives of Dallas — she takes her job as a Bravo fan seriously, okay? So it’s not surprising that in addition to acting, Lawrence is also on board to produce The Wives alongside Justine Ciarrocchi, Jeremy O. Harris, and Josh Godfrey. The script will be written by Circle Jerk playwrights Michael Breslin and Patrick Foley. There’s no word yet on when the project starts production, and Lawrence is the only member of the cast to be announced so far. Hey, Rihanna is also a Real Housewives fan who acts. Just saying!
