Jimmy Kimmel feels bad that Donald Trump’s hard work during the hush-money trial went to waste. “Poor Donald Trump, seven weeks of sleep farting all down the drain, all for nothing,” the host of Jimmy Kimmel Live! told audiences on Thursday, the same day the former president was found guilty of 34 felonies in relation to his unprecedented hush-money trial. “You do have to hand it to him, no president have ever been convicted more than Donald Trump. How long before he starts bragging about this?” Elsewhere in Kimmel’s recap of the historic case involving the presumptive Republican nominee, the late-night star wondered if this is a turning point for Trump, who usually schemes his way out of any pickle. “Maybe he isn’t Teflon; maybe he’s one of those sticky traps for rats,” he said. “Maybe he’s a wet pocket full of gummy worms.” As for how Trump will fare in the election? “The only thing you’ll be fighting to win is the Jell-O cup on your prison cafeteria tray,” Kimmel joked. If he wins that round, there will surely be more tooting.
