If there’s one thing celebrities love to do, it’s reveal personal information on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast. The latest entrant in this category is Camila Cabello, who told Shepard that her ex Matthew Hussey was the first person she had sex with at the age of 20 or 21.
Cabello shared that she initially connected with the relationship coach on the set of the Today show because she was a fan of his podcast, explaining that she “loves podcasts.” Speaking about Hussey, she said, “That was my first relationship. It was late for my first time. I was like, ‘Oh my God. I’ve never had a boyfriend.’” Describing having sex for the first time, she said, “It was literally lovemaking. It was beautiful.”
Heaping praise onto Hussey and calling it the “perfect first relationship,” Cabello also gave the world a window into her cultural context at the time. “Really expanded my world because he wasn’t in my industry, too. It was like, ‘Oh my God. Have you ever seen Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown? And have you ever seen Studio Ghibli films?’ He just really expanded my references.”
Studio Ghibli, Anthony Bourdain, and sex are all great things to be introduced to. I just want to know which Ghibli films they watched. I hope Princess Mononoke was one of them.
